Fanning’s 33rd Annual Jog-A-Thon

Our 33rd Annual Fanning Jog-A-Thon fundraiser is just around the corner!  Our goal this year is to raise $40,000.  With your support, we are confident we can meet our goal plus have a day that is fun for our students and their families.  Listed below are the important Jog-A-Thon dates.

Pledge Cards and Pledge Star

This year we are pleased to announce that Fanning students will be able to create their very own online Pledge Star page to help collect pledges from family and friends out of state or would rather donate online. Please follow the link to set up your student’s account https://pledgestar.com/fanning/. Please see additional Pledgestar handout for more directions on how to set up your child’s online account.  Feel free to share your student’s page through email and social media forums. Students should also fill out the pledge card attached to this form and, beginning today, try to get pledges from their friends, family members, and neighbors (students soliciting pledges door-to-door must be accompanied by an adult).  Sponsors may pledge a fixed dollar amount.  Please collect the donations from your sponsors at the time you receive the pledge in order to be eligible for prizes. All checks should be made out to Fanning PTA. Although there are no pledges per lap, we encourage the kids to run as many laps as they can.  

Friday, October 27th – Pledge cards, Pledge Star and Money due!

Even if the student does not collect any pledges, please return the card.  Only those students that have turned in their pledge cards, their money and their online pledges by October 27th will be eligible for tiered prizes and/or the luncheon.  When finished collecting all their pledges and money please seal the checks, money and pledge card inside the envelope and return to child’s teacher by the above date.  

Friday, November 3rd – Jog-A-Thon/Bubble Run Race Day

Grades TK-2 run 9:10 – 9:40 a.m., Grades 3-6 run 9:55 – 10:25 a.m.

Students should come to school ready to run!  Wear tennis shoes, shorts, and a Fanning School T-Shirt or another comfortable shirt.  Families are encouraged to come and cheer our students as they run.

Tuesday, November 28th – Last day to turn in Late Pledge Money/Pledge Star


We have lots of ways to reward our students for their hard work.  All students will receive a participation prize on the day of Jog-A-Thon.  Students may win any of the following:

  • Students who bring in $75.00-$124.99 will receive a Level 1 prize.

  • Students who bring in $125.00 - $175.00 will receive a Level 1 and Level 2 prize.

  • Students who bring in over $175.00 will receive both of the above prizes and a ticket to the Bubble Run Dance Party (more information to come).

The top 20 students bringing in the highest dollars will be invited to have lunch with Mrs. Stevens and choose from one of our several GRAND prizes.  Also…the top boy and girl Pledgers from each grade will receive some fun swag to wear for race day!  The class that brings in the highest average dollar amount per student will be awarded a special prize as well.

We would like to express our thanks to the many parents who have provided donations or volunteered to help us with the Jog-A-Thon.  The help of Fanning’s families is what makes this event so successful and fun!
